Description
The Bulan sideboard is named after the Malay word for moon, and the name explains itself when you shut the doors. Each door carries two half-circles in raised solid teak. Closed, they meet their neighbours and form full moons across the front, with no metal handles to interrupt the grain.
Behind them is the practical part: roomy compartments for dinner plates, serving dishes, the good glasses and the Wi-Fi router nobody wants to look at. Use it as a buffet cabinet in the dining room or a TV console in the living room.
Teakwood suits Malaysian homes. Its natural oils handle our humidity, so the doors keep closing properly long after chipboard cabinets have swollen.
We build Bulan in our own factory in Jepara, the Indonesian town known for its teak carvers, so there is no middleman between the workshop and your home. You can see it, open it and knock on it at our Shah Alam showroom before you decide with ScadeConcepts
What changes at home is small but daily. The dining table stops being storage. Tidying takes two minutes because everything has a place. Guests ask where you got it.
Bulan isn’t the cheapest sideboard you’ll find, and it isn’t trying to be. It’s the one you buy once.
